Wael Dawahir was born in Jordan on April 10, 1959. Married to Jackleen, they have two daughters (Wafa and Lydia), a son (Karam), and three grandkids. In 1977, Wael accepted the Lord as his personal savior. After working as an engineer and business, he followed the Lord’s call and committed himself to full-time ministry. Since then, Wael has been involved in both practical and scholarly ministries.

Wael has a Doctor of Ministry degree and previously taught at Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (JETS), where he also served as Dean of Students. The Lord blessed Wael to plant churches and home groups in two cities in Jordan. He also served the Lord in churches and conferences across Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, and Palestine, as well as in Arabic churches in Germany and the United States.

In 2018, Wael relocated to the United States and formed a house group until the Lord led us to Ashburn Church. In 2019, where Dr. Thompson and Dr. Wael co-founded the first Arabic Baptist church in Illinois.
